Dear Sugar Hill families,
It was wonderful to see so many of you at parent-teachers conferences last week. I am confident that you found the time you spent with your child's teacher helpful. For those of you who had a conference scheduled for Wednesday (the snow day), your child's teacher will work with you to reschedule/communicate conference information to you.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Lanier Cluster Education Foundation's 4th annual Blue Jean Ball on Saturday night. Special thanks go to Robin Kerr and Megan Pack, Foundation Executive Board members, for their leadership in making this such a huge success. We look forward to seeing many more of you for this fun-filled evening next year
This year students in grades 3-5 will be taking the Georgia Milestones state assessment in April. This assessment is replacing the CRCT and measures how well students have learned the knowledge and skills outlined in the state-adopted content standards in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. On March 24th, a Georgia Milestones parent informational meeting will be held in cafeteria from 6-7pm. Not only will you learn more about the test itself, you will receive important information for helping your child at home. I hope you will join us!
Thank you for your continued support. Sugar Hill is the wonderful school that it is because of families like yours! Have a great month and as always, please let me know if I can assist you in any way. My door is always open.!
Proud to be your principal,
