Dear Sugar Hill families,
It is hard to believe that the school year is almost over. It has been a wonderful year and an honor and a privilege to work with the families of Sugar Hill over the last six years.
As you know, I will be moving to Florida with my family this summer so I want to take a moment to thank you for your dedication to our school and to your child's education. I will miss Sugar Hill tremendously, but will continue to follow our students' progress from afar. Your children will be in great hands under the leadership of our new principal, Dr. Taffeta Connery.
I am also pleased to announce the addition of Candice Walker to the administrative team. Mrs. Walker has been an assistant principal in GCPS for the last ten years and will be replacing Barb McNulty who will be retiring this summer after 27 years in education. Mrs. McNulty has made a lasting impact on Sugar Hill and will be greatly missed. She promises not to go far as she plans to volunteer once a week next year. Thank you for your service, Mrs. McNulty!
A special thank you also goes to this year's PTA Officers, Julie Romstad, Rogena Lao, Laura Warner, Sherrie Coar and Lauren Zapata for their service, time, and commitment to our school.
I hope that you will join us for our final school wide event of the year. Our kindergarten performance and PTA meeting will be held on May 5th at 6pm and 7pm in the gym.
Enjoy the last few weeks of school and your summer, and know that I am always just a phone call or email away.
Proud to be your principal,
